Four of the seats on the Board are filled through a selection process. This process is separate and distinct from the election process, and application is through the form found here.
Qualified candidates of at least 18 years of age are needed who have a substantial connection with each of the following stakeholder groups and who wish to represent those groups on the Board.
- Private Educational Institutions (K-6): Administrators, teachers; staff, parents of current students, active alumni and trustees may apply.
- Private Educational Institutions (7-12): Administrators, teachers, staff, students of 18 years of age, parents of current students, active alumni and trustees may apply.
- Faith-Based Institutions: Administrators, clergy, teachers, congregational members and staff may apply.
- Custodians of Open Space: Individuals with a demonstrated history of proactive participation and/or support for the preservation and maintenance of open space may apply.
The candidate filing period for these seats is from March 6 to April 6

Candidates should know the successful candidate will be determined by a vote of the current Board of the Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council present on the evening of the Selection, immediately following a town hall style meeting where each candidate will have the opportunity to present their qualifications and reasons for selection by the Board of the Council.
A community meet and greet for all candidates will be held at our meeting on April 28, 2021
